The Barbados Reiki Association’s 2016 Holistic Health Fair promises to be better than ever, showcasing an exciting array of complementary healing therapies. For the third successive year, the Holistic Health Fair will be held at Harrison College. This year’s fair takes place on Sunday, April 3rd from 9am to 5pm.

Our theme “Good Health Matters” fits in with the ongoing discussion on promoting healthy lifestyles and overall health consciousness in our population and we view the Holistic Health Fair as making a positive contribution towards the advancement of a healthy nation.

The Barbados Reiki Association has been spreading the health and wellness message since its first health open day in 1998. This year’s Holistic Health Fair will include Quantum Touch from the Natural Energy Centre, natural skin care products from Earth Mother Botanicals, Feng Shui advice from the Reiki School of Natural Healing and the opportunity to browse and buy books on healing and wellness from The Book Place.

Visitors to the Holistic Health Fair will also have the opportunity to sample organic food from Green Gourmet, enjoy the scent of aromatherapy products from Aroma Friendly and learn about meditation, natural birth, colloidal silver and other supplements, self-care products and Body Talk. Reflexology and different types of massage will also be available.

“We believe it’s essential to introduce Barbadians to the wide range of health-oriented therapies, products and foods available right here at home,” comments Sharon Hurley Hall. “Our Holistic Health Fair is a great way to do that.”

The Fair will also include a programme of talks and demonstrations so patrons can learn even more about healthful and holistic practices.

Admission to the 2016 Fair remains at $5, with the price per therapy capped at $20 to allow patrons to enjoy several therapies.  Tickets can be purchased in advance by contacting Eugene Holder, the Association’s Treasurer at 241-8159.

Anyone interested in learning more about the therapies on offer or taking a booth at the Fair, can contact the Association at barbadosreikievents@gmail.com.
